School Bus Driver Charged With Homicide

Fatal Crash In February Wasn't Bus Driver's First

LOWER FREDERICK, Pa. - A school bus driver faces vehicular homicide charges in connection with a deadly crash in Montgomery County. Slideshow: Images From Crash Scene Authorities said a video shows the driver blowing through 10 stop signs before the crash. Back in February, a Perkiomen school bus collided with a car, killing a 27-year-old passenger. On Monday, state police arrested and charged the bus driver, Frederick Poust III. This is not Poust's first deadly accident. In November of 1999, Poust blew through a Bucks County stop sign, killing a 2-year-old child. "To me, it's really unconscionable that somebody with this particular driving history could be driving a school bus, responsible for the safety of children," Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Ferman said. The driver of the car has filed a civil lawsuit against the bus company seeking damages.
