Serving Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, New York & Nationwide

A jury in Texas has handed down a $1.2 million verdict in a transvaginal mesh case for a woman who was injured after the device eroded inside her. The verdict was the latest against Johnson & Johnson and the first for the plaintiffs involving a TVT-O device used for stress urinary incontinence. There are currently more than 12,000 lawsuits filed claiming that vaginal mesh devices, used to treat urinary incontinence and organ prolapse, are defective. Also known as pelvic sling or bladder sling, the product made by J&J subsidiary Ethicon has come under fire for causing a multitude of injuries, including severe pelvic pain. Last year, a jury in New Jersey jury awarded $11.1 million in damages to a woman who blamed a Prolift device, an implant used to support sagging organs, for serious injuries. Kline & Specter is a national leader in vaginal mesh cases.
