Strollers recalled over finger amputations

Serving Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, New York & Nationwide

Graco Children’s Products has recently issued a recall for nearly five million strollers. The recall comes amid reports of fingers being amputated and lacerated on the strollers’ hinges.

Caregivers were urged to use extreme caution when folding or unfolding the strollers and to make sure that the hinges are firmly locked and secured before placing a child in the stroller. Caregivers are also advised to immediately remove a child from a stroller that begins to fold.

The recalled strollers involve 11 Graco models: Aspen, Breeze, Capri, Cirrus, Glider, Kite, LiteRider, Sierra, Solara, Sterling, and Travlemate. All were manufactured in China. The models all have a manufacturing date from Aug 1, 2000 to Sept 25, 2014. The recalled strollers were sold at Target, Toys R Us, Wal-Mart and other national retailers as well as online. Graco was to provide a free repair kit for the affected strollers.
