Juliana Poroye is a passionate and relentless advocate who employs a multi-disciplinary approach to solving clients’ issues. She has backgrounds in law, philosophy, sociology, and education.

Poroye obtained her bachelor’s degree from Hunter College, where she was an Athena Scholar and philosophy and political science double major and political theory minor. After graduating college, Poroye worked in the New York City Law Department as a New York City Urban Fellow. There, she worked on matters pertaining to young people involved in the juvenile court system. Years later, Poroye earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School, where she received a full-tuition merit scholarship. At Penn Carey Law, Poroye joined the Advocacy for Racial and Civil Justice clinic, where she helped students sue Philadelphia public schools for committing race and sex discrimination. As a journal editor, Poroye also edited articles for Penn Carey Law’s Journal of Law and Social Change. While obtaining her law degree, Poroye concurrently earned a master’s degree in education policy from the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education.

Prior to joining Kline & Specter, Poroye worked at mid-sized and big law defense firms in Philadelphia. Afterward, Poroye clerked for a federal judge in the Middle District of Pennsylvania.

At Kline & Specter, Poroye handles cases involving medical malpractice, sexual assault, catastrophic vehicle collisions, wrongful death, and commercial sexual exploitation and trafficking. She is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and the Middle District of Pennsylvania.

Poroye has a background in playwriting and acting, and was a nationally competitive spoken word poet. She enjoys watching live theatre and staying active. During her free time, she cycles (both indoors and outdoors), runs, and strength trains at the gym.
