Kline & Specter has won some of its largest verdicts and settlements – and several of its most highly publicized -- in Montgomery County, PA, the commonwealth’s third largest county. For legal assistance with a personal injury matter, contact one of our Montgomery County injury attorneys.

In a famous case, the firm obtained a $40.5 million settlement for the estates of six people who died and six who were injured in an explosion and fire at the Village Green apartment complex in Hatboro.

The tragedy occurred when storms flooded a basement laundry room and  dislodged a gas dryer, creating a gas leak. Defendants in the case included the landlord and PECO. (See extensive news coverage)

In what was the largest-ever verdict in Montgomery County, a jury sitting in Norristown awarded $20 million to a 6-year-old Richlandtown boy who went blind after his premature birth at Abington Memorial Hospital. The jury found a hospital and doctor largely responsible. (See news coverage)

And Kline & Specter obtained a $35 million settlement, approved in Montgomery County Common Pleas Court, on behalf of more than 100 individuals and businesses which suffered damage in a 2001 fire at the former Continental Business Center in Bridgeport. (News coverage)

In yet another case, one chronicled on ABC’s Nightline program, a Montgomery County jury awarded $3 million to the estate of a Glenside woman whose doctor misread her mammogram. Dagmar Lackman, 58, died as a result, leaving behind four children and her husband. (Watch news coverage)
